About Shalom Mega Parish
RCCG Shalom Mega Parish is a dynamic branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, one of the fastest-growing Christian denominations globally.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Shalom Mega Parish represents a vibrant community of believers dedicated to spreading God’s love and message of peace. Our parish serves as a spiritual home where individuals and families can grow in their faith, develop meaningful relationships, and impact their community positively through Christ-centered programs and outreach initiatives.
Our congregation comprises diverse members united by their faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to spiritual growth. We provide a welcoming environment where people from all walks of life can experience God’s presence and discover their purpose.
RCCG Shalom Parish, now a Mega/Stand Alone Parish, came into existence on 21st December 1999 as an outreach centre of RCCG God’s Time Parish under the supervision of Brother Mike Ayodele. On 1st April, 2000, the outreach centre got the blessings and approval of the Area Pastor, Pastor Michael Oyelaran, as part of the Easter 2000 Let’s-Go-A-Fishing program, and was officially inaugurated as a Parish on 1st October 2000.
The appointed pioneer Pastor of the parish was Deacon and Sister Okous Osademudiamen with Brother Olayemi Abass as assistant. Other pioneer workers include Brother & Sister Ogunwale, late Deacon & Deaconess Ezimeruwe, Brother Bayo Olakunbi, Sister Ruth Seidu and Brother Adeyinka Adeyemo.
The first won souls of the Parish were the family of Daddy and Mummy Uzor and their children. Subsequently, the Moffahs and family members joined the parish. The strategic plan for the growth of the Parish was anchored on House Fellowship centres at the residences of the pioneer workers, the Uzors and the Moffahs, and the Church began to multiply to the glory of Almighty God.
The Parish started her services at an uncompleted living room at No 1 Fabusuyi street, Ketu-Ijanikin, On 1st October, 2000, she moved to one of the poultries (which was renovated) at Teju Farms (now Teju Estates) at Ketu bus stop opposite the Badagry Expressway and later moved to the residence of Deacon Samuel Ogunwale in 2003. In February, 2006, the parish moved to a location opposite the popular Alfa Stores and finally in 2007, she acquired landed property situated at 9-11, Fabusuyi Street, wherein RCCG Shalom Mega YAYA Church is situated till date.
RCCG Shalom Mega was promoted an Area Headquarters (C4) in 2008, Zonal Headquarters in 2010, Community headquarters in 2019 and promoted annex of the Lagos Province 52 headquarters, the seat of the Assistant Pastor in-charge of Province – Administration (APICP) in 2022.
The Church is currently situated on her permanent site in a serene area at No 12-14, Fabusuyi Street, off Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Ketu-Ijanikin, Lagos. The Parish also owns No 9 -11 Fabusuyi street which currently houses the Shalom Mega Youth and Young Adults Church, the Redeemer’s Praise Nursery and Primary School and the Shalom Mega Redeemers Maternity Centre.
